The singer was the third artist to ever win the Official Chart Record Breaker Award and was crowned artist of the decade. The British hit list Official Charts Company announced that on Wednesday. “Especially my great fans. Towards the next ten” Ed received the award because he had the most number 1 albums and singles between 2010 and 2019. In total, the singer led the charts twelve times in the last decade. Ed also managed to occupy the position for the longest time. Towards the next ten!” The singer succeeds Justin Bieber. He received the Official Chart Record Breaker Award in 2016 because he was the first act to fill all of the Top 3 spots in the history of the British hit list. Paul McCartney won him the same year because he was in the first place with an album most of his career. In total, Paul led the list 22 times: solo, The Beatles and Wings added together.
