Fewer CNN reporters on the road due to corona

News channel CNN allows fewer reporters to travel in connection with the corona virus outbreak. That was announced on Monday by the CEO of the industry within WarnerMedia that includes CNN to his staff, The Wrap reports.

In the memo, Jeff Zucker writes that only the team members who are indispensable for sports and news events such as NBA matches or the Democratic debates can still travel. All intercontinental trips should be approved by him.

“Some of these protocols may be inconvenient, but they are set up as a precaution to keep you all safe. Nothing is more important than your health,” Zucker said in corporate communications. “It is not clear how long these restrictions will continue to apply, but we will keep you informed regularly.”
