Life First trailer ‘Jay and Silent Bob 2019 Reboot’: the stoners are back Posted on July 19, 2019 2 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ After a number of films that were more ‘experimental’ in nature, Kevin Smith finally returns to the so-called common sense. The screenwriter / director / actor / supergeek unveiled the first trailer of Jay And Silent Bob Reboot today. You can of course view the trailer is below. In the film we see the long-awaited return of Jason Mewes, and Smith as the titular characters. The story is simple: Hollywood wants to reboot Bluntman and Chronic, the comic book based on Jay and Silent Bob. And although in the movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) the roles of Bluntman and Chronic were played by Jason Biggs and James Van Der Beek, we now see Melissa Benoist and Val Kilmer as Chronic and Bluntman respectively. Jay and Silent Bob, however, do everything to prevent that film from being made. In addition to the aforementioned actors, the film will also contain a whole bunch of celebrity cameos (a number we see already in the trailer). We see Craig Robinson, David Dastmalchian, Joe Manganiello, Justin Long, Fred Armisen and Chris Hemsworth. In addition, there is also room for old acquaintances Shannon Elizabeth (Justice), Jason Lee (Brodie Bruce), Ben Affleck (Holden McNeil) and Matt Damon (Loki) in roles they previously played in Smith films. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot reaches the American cinemas on 15 October. Nothing is known yet about a Dutch release.
