Life Former nanny denounces Christmas Queen Mariah Carey Posted on December 24, 2019 2 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ A woman who worked as a nanny for Mariah Carey (49) until last year is now suing the singer. She would have been paid too little and aggressively treated by the bodyguard of the children. Maria Burgues was a nanny of twins Moroccan and Monroe until April 2018. In her indictment, she says, according to Variety, that she received 25 dollars per hour to look after the children, but was obliged to go on a tour of Mariah and was not paid for her travel time. She also says that bodyguard Marcio Moto regularly shouted at her, making her feel threatened. The bodyguard is said to have threatened, among other things, during a car ride from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to get the nanny out of the car and leave it along the road. She says she reported it, but nothing was done about it. The nanny was fired after one of the children walked out of a dance class unnoticed. She claims that this was because the bodyguard did not pay attention, but it would have given her the full coat in front of the children, dance teachers and other parents. The former nanny states that she has not received her last wage, and also demands compensation for the emotional damage she has sustained in her time as a singer’s nanny.
