Grey’s Anatomy reveals shocking reason behind ‘Alex Karev’ exit

It is a coming and going in Gray Sloan Memorial. The hospital had to say goodbye to one of their doctors for the umpteenth time. This time it was Alex Karev, or actor Justin Chambers (49), who was featured in “Grey’s Anatomy from the first moment.” Until now it was unknown why he left, but the program finally provides clarity. “That one perfect thing is not in Seattle. No more”

It was an emotional episode for the fans of Grey’s Anatomy. After the departure of Izzie, George, Cristina and many other popular characters from the first hour, it was now Alex Karev’s turn. Sixteen seasons later and the doctor thought it was good. And in his very last episode he finally clarifies his exit. He did this on the basis of four letters to important people in his life: his wife Jo, Meredith Gray, Miranda Bailey and Richard Webber.

The reason for Alex’s farewell is shocking. He decided to move to Kansas, where he reunited with his ex-wife Izzie Stevens and their five-year-old twins. “This has never been the way I wanted to do this. But you know me, I always choose the easy way,” the doctor explains in his letter to Meredith. “That one perfect thing is not in Seattle. No more. I swear it’s not you, work or Jo. It’s about me. I left and I’m with Izzie.” He then reveals the birth of his twins with his ex-wife.
