The former film producer stated this in an interview with New York Post. According to the 67-year-old, he has been more committed to the role of women in the film world than anyone else. “I produced more films that were directed by women and were about women than any other filmmaker” “I have produced more films directed by women and about women than any other filmmaker,” said Harvey Weinstein, who is accused by dozens of women of sexual misconduct ranging from intimidation to rape. “And then I’m talking about thirty years ago. Not about now, now that it’s hip. I did it first, I was a pioneer.” In his first interview in more than a year, the former producer states that his life’s work has evaporated due to the many accusations, a subject he further avoids. He only states that “because of what happened” his achievements in the film world are forgotten.
