In an interview with People he says that he enjoyed his year as the sexiest man on earth. The actor also had reassuring advice for his successor John Legend. “I don’t have to be sexy, I am sexy” John Legend called his new title “Exciting, but also a little frightening. Such a title gives a bit of pressure, people will still look at you if you are sexy enough.” Fortunately Idris Elba has wise advice ready for his successor: “Just enjoy it. Don’t try to be sexy, but be yourself.” The ever-self-assured actor continues: “There is something that I learned very quickly. I don’t have to be sexy, I am sexy.”
