Life H&M makes a completely new collection of old sale items Posted on February 7, 2020 2 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ After last year’s successful collection, H&M again collaborates with designer duo Alexander van Slobbe and Francisco van Benthum, also known as HACKED by__. “We have applied three methods to customize the sweaters and realize this collection” The collection of the Dutch duo is completely unisex, which means that it is wearable for both men and women. But a little designer nowadays also thinks about the environment. The collection for H&M is therefore made from old sale items, which yield a series of unique sweaters. All items are therefore one of a kind and completely ‘sizeless’. “For the realization of this collection we applied three methods to customize the sweaters: the horizontal cutting of the item to make it longer, the vertical cutting of the item to be able to widen it and thus the fit and thirdly applying an item and literally providing the sweater with a new layer, “says Francisco. “Three interventions that hopefully inspire the wearers to take the scissors themselves and apply them to their own clothing items.” With the collection, the designers want to inspire occasionally to take a pair of scissors to breathe new life into their own clothing.
