This time it was a cyst on one of her ovaries had burst open, she reveals to People. And again it happened while Kelly was on live TV. This time she was in the middle of recordings of the live shows of the American version of The Voice. “Blake (Shelton) was talking to me and suddenly everything he said fell away. I grabbed his arm and said something is wrong,” Clarkson remembers. “It was more painful than appendicitis. It happened literally a week after my surgery, so I was very scared.” Clarkson presented the Billboard Awards when her appendix manifested. But she continued the show. “I didn’t want to disappoint people,” she says. “I just tried to relax, but in reality I was in so much pain.”
