Life R. Kelly’s abuse case in New York postponed until July Posted on February 7, 2020 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ The abuse case against R. Kelly in New York is postponed. The R&B singer is now not on May 18, but on July 7 in court. Reuters reports that Thursday. The case, one of the many that runs against Kelly, is being postponed because he is expected in Chicago on April 27. The judge therefore considered it “unrealistic” to start in New York in May. In New York the singer must appear for sexual abuse, extortion, human trafficking and bribery. In Chicago he is on trial for sexual violence in April and in September he must also report in Chicago for sexual misconduct against four women, including three minors. The singer was also charged in Minnesota because he would have offered a 17-year-old girl money to dance naked for him. A date for that case has not yet been set. Kelly, trapped in Chicago, continues to deny all accusations.
