Life Taylor Swift can sing old songs at AMAs Posted on November 21, 2019 1 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Taylor Swift can breathe with relief. The singer can ‘just’ sing a medley of her old hits at the American Music Awards on Sunday. That is stated in a statement by record company Big Machine Records, which owns the rights of Taylor’s music, and production company Dick Clark Productions. “Artists do not need approval for live performances on television or elsewhere” Taylor has been messed up with her old record label for some time and last week claimed that she was forbidden to sing her old songs at the award show. Big Machine Records now says they can’t do that. “Artists do not need approval for live performances on television or elsewhere. That is only necessary for the distribution of audiovisual and audio recordings.” Taylor is honored with the Artist of the Decade Award during the American Music Awards on Sunday and wanted to sing a medley of her own work.
