Life The Vampire Diaries-Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley joke about ‘arguing’ By weekster Posted on October 18, 2019 2 min read Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Nina Dobrev (30) and Paul Wesley (37) were not the best friends to say the least when they met. They could even drink each other’s blood. Now, years later, they joke about it. “If you know me, you know that I will never stay angry for long” Nina places a video on Instagram of her and Paul. They are standing by the pool and Nina explains that her statements about their friendship in the media are a bit twisted. “If you know me, you know that I will never stay angry for long,” Paul responds. “Forgive and forget.” And then … he pushes her into the pool with clothes and all. In The Vampire Diaries, the actors who play Elena and Stefan seemed so in love, but nothing could be further from the truth. Actress Nina Dobrev and actor Paul Wesley really couldn’t get along on the set. The actress, for example, explained Directionally Challenged in the podcast. “Paul and I really couldn’t get along at the start of the show. I respected him, but I didn’t like him.” Yet they managed to play a loving couple convincingly. “We hated each other so much that it might have come across as passion and love. We just couldn’t get along for the first five months.” After the first few months, things went better between the two. So much better that now, some ten years later, they can really call each other really good friends.
