Shortly after 10.30 pm the alarm went off on the editorial floor of the news channel. All staff had to leave the Time Warner Center, which houses the news channel, reports the news channel. According to the media company, the threat was voiced by telephone. The program CNN Tonight was taken off the air. Police and fire brigade in New York dropped off the area around the building on West 58th Street and 8th and 9th Avenue. Around midnight the police gave the signal that everything was safe and all people were allowed to go inside again. Dozens of agents had searched all the floors of the building shortly before. According to CNN nothing has been found. In October, the Time Warner Center was evacuated after a package with an explosive, aimed at former CIA director John Brennan, had arrived.
