Taliban leaders, who have been in power in Afghanistan since last month, are meeting with representatives of the European Union tomorrow in Qatar. This is what the Afghan Foreign minister reports.

Afghanistan has been on the verge of collapse since the retreat of American and other Western troops and the Taliban’s seizure of power last summer.
Saving from destruction

The new regime is looking for a way out of its isolation to save the economy from ruin. Much development aid has been halted, food is becoming increasingly expensive and unemployment is increasing.

“We want positive relations with the whole world,” said minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. “We believe in balanced international relations. We think that such a balanced bond can save Afghanistan from instability.”

Previously, the Taliban had meetings with American, German and British representatives.
