The new Pro models have the same processor as the brand’s computers. In addition, Apple has unveiled a new version of the regular iPad. The new generation of 11 – inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro are equipped with Apple’s M2 processor. The company also uses this processor for the MacBook Air 2022 and the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2022. Like the previous iPad Pro tablets, the new models support the Apple Pencil. Both tablets can now detect when this pen hovers above the screen. This means that the software can react if the user approaches the screen with the stylus. The new iPad Pro tablets can handle faster Wi-Fi 6E networks, enabling up to twice the download speeds. The new Pro models are almost 200 euros more expensive than the 2021 tablets. The 11 inch model costs at least 1,065 euros, the 12.9 inch model has a starting price of 1,469 euros. The new iPad is a more affordable alternative. In addition to the two new Pro models, Apple has also announced the more affordable tenth generation of the regular iPad. This iPad has the same processor (A14 Bionic) as the iPhone 12 from 2020. Apple has redesigned the iPad with flat sides, a larger 10.9-inch display, and narrower bezels. Another notable change is that the tablet now has a Touch ID button on the side. Apple releases the iPad in four striking colors, including pink and yellow. The new tablet will be available from October 26.
